Welcome to the Bexar County Women's Bar Association. As one of the leading bar associations in the state of Texas, we are proud of our history. The 25th Annual Bench Brunch!

The 25th annual Bench Brunch will be held Sunday, October 21, 2007, at the Sky Room of the University of the Incarnate Word, 4301 Broadway, San Antonio, Texas 78209. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. for the silent auction, to be followed by a seated champagne brunch at 12:30 noon.

Bench Brunch 2007 continues our tradition – and legacy – of raising money to be distributed to local charities and charitable programs.

We are planning a scrumptuous meal, intriguing auction, and entertaining program, all in the delightful Sky Room with its panoramic view of the City! Please join us for great congeniality and collegiality as we raise money for those most in need in our own community!

As is tradition, the proceeds of the 2007 Bench Brunch will be distributed to the selected charitable recipients at the BCWBA/F’s December holiday luncheon. Please visit the "Bench Brunch" portion of this website for more information about Bench Brunch!

    • December Holiday Luncheon

    Our annual Holiday Luncheon is Friday, December 14, 2007, beginning at approximately 12:00 noon; registration will begin at approximately 11:35 a.m.
    Please note our holiday location: the beautiful and festive La Mansion del Rio, in the Veramendi Ballroom.
    As is our practice, we will celebrate the season by distributing proceeds from our Bench Brunch to our very deserving charitable beneficiaries.
    And, we may even be visited by Santa to add to the festivities and good cheer!

    CALL FOR NOMINATIONS:
    2007 PARALEGAL OF THE YEAR

    A new program has been adopted this year to honor an outstanding paralegal from San Antonio. This is not a popularity contest, but rather an award to a paralegal based on fair and impartial judging by a non-paralegal judging panel.
    Click here for information about the requirements for nomination and a nomination ballot. Each nominee’s employer will be notified and will be asked to prepare a letter of recommendation reflecting his/her qualifications, experience, professionalism and the importance of his/her position in the firm.
    The winner will be announced at the Paralegal Day Luncheon on October 23, 2007. Please give serious consideration to those paralegals who have served well and worked hard this past year.
